Age of Imperial Peace (IP), pt. 1

   The “Pax Zungzamia Imperia” era constitutes more than 1,500 years of ZungAlexia history. Of those 1,500 years, more than 12 centuries of this era are truely peaceful and prosperous for the Imperium and its people. The events that occur in this prosperous Early Imperial Age are recorded on this and subsequent page(s).


0 IA [801 AF] (207 CE)

At Midnight on New Year’s Day, after 800 years, the Federal Republic of Zungzamia becomes The Imperium of Zungzamia (IoZ) with the establishment of the Constitution of the Imperium of Zungzamia. The new constitution fundamentally alters the nation’s form of government from a democratic constitutional republic to a constitutional monarchy. The current Guardian of the Republic for Life; a direct descendant of Alexandrus Cornelius Zungzamius, Nikolaus Cornelius Zungzamius becomes Imperator Nikolaus. The National Congress becomes the Senate of the Imperium, aka Imperial Senate, and the Supreme Court of the Republic becomes the Supreme Court of the Imperium, aka the Imperial Supreme Court.

1 IA [802 AF] (208 CE)

Numerous legislative acts are signed into law by Imperator Nikolaus including Imperial Law 1-1787 which grants the Zel’Koni Order permission to retain legal copies of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Zungzamia and the Constitution of the Imperium of Zungzamia and Imperial Law 1-2015 which establishes the Imperial Calendar.

2 IA [803 AF] (209 CE)

The last “Tormentors” cell throughout the entire Imperium is crushed, ending the “Time of Torment” and beginning a new era historically called “Pax Zungzamia Imperia”.

4 IA [805 AF] (211 CE)

Imperial Law 4-500, signed by Imperator Nikolaus, legally declares that the star at the center of the local interplanetary system is to be officially known as Zungzamia and that the planetary body third from the aforementioned star that the Imperium of Zungzamia resides on is to be officially known as Zungzamia Prime.

Also, signed by Imperator Nikolaus, Imperial Law 4-1701 establishes the Space Agency of the Imperium of Zungzamia, aka Imperial Space Agency or ISA.

6 IA [807 AF]

After 86 years of rule; first as Guardian of the Republic then as Imperator of Zungzamia, Imperator Nikolaus dies. In his will, the Imperator decreed that the saber in his possession at the time of his death is to be passed down to each succeeding Imperator as a symbol of Imperial power. His son is crowned Imperator Cornelius at the age of 91.

8 IA [809 AF]

With Imperator Cornelius in attendance at ISA’s Ground Control, the ISA launches its first unmanned probe successfully into planetary orbit.

10 IA [811 AF]

Year-long celebrations take place in the Imperium of Zungzamia to commemorate the Imperium’s 10th Anniversary.

ISA launches its first manned spacecraft into orbit.

15 IA

1 Febrium - Georgius Zungzamius, son of Imperator Cornelius, is born.

19 IA

20 Septimbrium - The first Zungzamian steps onto Kah’in, the fatherworld’s natural satellite.

25 IA [826 AF] (232 CE)

Year-long celebrations take place in the Imperium of Zungzamia to commemorate the Imperium’s 25th Anniversary.

29 IA

The Zel’Koni Order commemorates its’ 750th Anniversary.

44 IA

The first permanent pressure settlement is established on Kah'in.

50 IA [851 AF] (257 CE)

The Imperium of Zungzamia commemorates its 50th Anniversary with year-long celebrations throughout the Imperium.

The Imperial Senate passes and Imperator Cornelius gives his Consent to Imperial Law 50-007 which instructs the Imperial Ministry of War to establish the Imperial Colonial Military Command or ICMC as a joint command between the Imperial Army and the Imperial Air Force's Space Operations Division.

53 IA

The Imperial military begins to establish a presence on Kah’in via the ICMC.

77 IA

16 Pentibrium – Nikolaus Zungzamius, son of Crown Prince Georgius and grandson of Imperator Cornelius, is born.

84 IA

Jaksa Alexandrus Zungzamius becomes the Grand Maven of the Sacred Order of Zel'Koni at 200 years old.

97 IA

The life of Imperator Cornelius ends at the age of 182 after 91 years of rule. His son, Georgius is crowned as the third Imperator.

100 IA [901 AF] (307 CE)

Year-long celebrations take place in the Imperium of Zungzamia to commemorate the Imperium’s 100th Anniversary.

14 Septimbrium – Jaksa Alexandrus Zungzamius, Grand Maven of the Zel’Koni Order, passes into the after-world at the age of 216.

121 IA

The ISA begins its first successful exploration with an unmanned probe of Zungzamia IV, aka Alexandrus, from orbit. During the next 40 years, ISA sends more orbital probes along with landers and rovers to the surface to explore Zungzamia IV and its’ natural satellite, Sumibo.

150 IA [951 AF] (357 CE)

The Imperium of Zungzamia commemorates its 150th Anniversary.

After numerous petitions to the Imperial Senate and the Imperator, ISA is granted permission and given the funds necessary to conduct a manned landing on Alexandrus, aka Zungzamia IV.

164 IA/EoC 1000 (371 CE)

4 Septimbrium –The old Coalition of Zungzamia was established under the Treaty of Coalition 1,000 years ago, to combat the long defunct Kindaron Supremacy.

20 Septimbrium – The first Zungzamian sets foot on Zungzamia IV. Over the next five years ISA conducts three more manned landing missions to Zungzamia IV.

169 IA

15 Tetribrium – During the fourth manned mission to Alexandrus, two of the four astronauts—out of the seven-person crew—on the surface are attacked by indigenous animal life. One is killed during the initial attack and the second dies from injuries onboard the landing craft. With permission of the Imperator, the astronauts are interred on Zungzamia IV. Later in the year, the fallen astronauts are memorialized at ISA headquarters and throughout the Imperium.

170 IA (377 CE)

After several accidents including the death of two astronauts on Alexandrus, Imperator Georgius requests that the Imperial Senate make severe reductions to the budget of ISA and orders an extensive audit of all ISA operations at the cost to the ISA.

174 IA

After reviewing the results of the audit of the ISA, the Imperial Senate grants the Imperator’s requests for severe budget reductions. The budget reductions force ISA to suspend all future programs for at least as long as Georgius is Imperator. Furthermore, the Imperator closes Alexandrus to exploration and settlement for the next 500 years.

199 IA [1000 AF] (406 CE)

The Federal Repubic of Zungzamia, the predecessor to the Imperium, was established 1,000 year ago under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Zungzamia.

200 IA (407 CE)

Year-long celebrations take place in the Imperium of Zungzamia to commemorate the Imperium’s 200th Anniversary.

202 IA

Georgius, the third Imperator of Zungzamia, dies at the age of 187 after 105 years of rule. His son ascends the throne as the fourth Imperator, taking the name Nikolaus II.

207 IA

The Imperator's lifemate gives birth to a son named Cornelius.

250 IA (457 CE)

The Imperium of Zungzamia commemorates its 250th Anniversary.

272 IA

The fourth Imperator of Zungzamia, Nikolaus II dies after 70 years of rule. His son becomes the fifth Imperator, ascending the throne as Cornelius II.

279 IA (486 CE)

The Sacred Order of Zel’Koni commemorates the anniversary of its first millennium.

300 IA (507 CE)

Imperator Cornelius II's lifemate gives birth to a son named Georgius Mikael Zungzamius.

350 IA

In a science lab at Kuvot University of Science and Technology, the first stable compressed plasma-energy stream is created by accident.

354 IA

The lifemate of Imperator Cornelius II gives birth to a second son named Paulus Cornelius Zungzamius.

398 IA

In a very rare occurrence; the bestowment ceremony of a Zel’Koni Student-Sentinel is witnessed by outsiders when Cornelius II views the ceremony for his youngest son Paulus Cornelius Zungzamius bestowed upon him the title ‘Sentinel of the Sacred Order of Zel’Koni’ in the Order’s Grand Hall.

407 IA (614 CE)

Having ruled the Imperium for 135 years, Cornelius II dies at 200 years old. His eldest son, Georgius Mikael ascends the throne as Georgius II, becoming the sixth Imperator of Zungzamia.

430 IA (637 CE)

Georgius II dies after 23 years as Imperator of Zungzamia. With no living sons of his own, his brother, Paulus Cornelius, having been a Zel’Koni Sentinel for 32 years leaves the Zel’Koni Order and ascends the throne as Cornelius III, becoming the seventh Imperator.

444 IA

The Imperator's lifemate gives birth to a son named Nikolaus Zungzamius.

455 IA (662 CE)

The first “masabe”, a plasma-energy based sword-like weapon with a backpack size power pack, is created by scientists within the Zel’Koni Order. The masabe is demonstrated before the Grand Assembly who gives its initial approval of the device but insists that the power pack be significantly downsized. The scientists begin in earnest however it will take years of experimentation to reduce the size of the power supply.

500 IA (707 CE)

Year-long celebrations take place in the Imperium of Zungzamia to commemorate the Imperium’s 500th Anniversary.

The lifemate of Crown Prince Nikolaus gives birth to a son named Alexandrus Nikolaus Zungzamius.

502 IA (709 CE)

Having ruled for 72 years, Cornelius III dies. His son becomes the eighth Imperator, ascending the throne of the Imperium of Zungzamia as Nikolaus III.

512 IA (719 CE)

Following years of experimentation, scientists in the Zel’Koni Order succeed in reducing the size of the masabe’s power supply to a hip carried pack. They demonstrate this prototype for the Grand Assembly which is impressed. They decree that use of the masabe shall be limited to the Assembly until the members are proficient with the device and that the scientists are to continue their work in reducing the size of the power supply.

515 IA

Members of the Order’s Grand Assembly begin training Sentinel-Mavens in the use of the masabe. Within three years these Sentinel-Mavens begin training the Sentinels and Student-Sentinels in the use of the masabe within the confines of the Order’s Grand Hall.

520 IA

Later in the year and throughout the next year, Zel’Koni Sentinels and Sentinel-Masters publicly transition from their standard steel-alloy sabers to the hip carried power pack masabes. However, some Members of the Order hold onto their sabers for various reasons.

563 IA

Future Imperator Georgius III is born.

568 IA

Scientists in the Zel’Koni Order perfect the masabe with a power supply in the hilt. Senior members of the Order construct their own and practice using them out of the view of the public and the government.
