The Federation/Alexandrian starship Kanaris locates an M-Class (habitable) planet 21 light-years from Alexandrus that will become the location of Starbase 3. The ship’s current captain lays claim to the system on behalf of the Union and names the system ‘Lovell’ in honor of Jamie Caroline Lovell, the former commanding officer of the Kanaris. Later in the year, Kanaris encounters a powerful ion storm which causes significant hull and systems damage.

Orbiting Alexandrus IV, Starbase 1 becomes operational.
USS Kanaris returns to Alexandrus three and a half months after the official end date of the ship’s two-year exploratory mission still suffering from damage sustained in an ion storm 14 months earlier.

Following an intensive examination and analysis, the Union Starfleet determines that Kanaris is too important to risk on future deep space exploration missions and relegate the vessel to training duties with Starfleet Academy.

The Union Starfleet launches the prototype ship of the Union-class; the home star system’s first space vessel capable of reaching Warp 5 bearing registry number ISV-101.

The CUG presents its draft of the Constitution of the United Republic of ZungAlexia to the various legislative bodies within the star system. In the presentations, it is proposed by the Convention that the citizens vote directly on the new constitution in a special election on a date determined by each of the legislative bodies to occur before the last day of 2775 AF-R/449 EoD to allow time for a general and presidential election under the new constitution.

4 Septi – Throughout the Alexandrian star system, citizens vote on the Constitution of the United Republic of ZungAlexia. Once the voting is completed and the results tallied, the new constitution passes in most of areas of the system however it fails on Alexandrus III but there are enough votes in favor to schedule a second vote.

11 Novib – Following two failed attempts at passage, the citizens of Alexandrus III vote in favor of the new Constitution of the United Republic of ZungAlexia by a slim two percent margin. Once tallied, the official results are ultimately reported to the Convention for a Unified Government.
1 Twalif – The President of the CUG officially announces that the citizens of Alexandrus III have voted in favor of the Constitution of the United Republic of ZungAlexia; completing the document’s ratification. Beginning on the first day of the New Year, for the first time in 465 years, the star system will be united under one, freely elected government.
