The fall of the Imperium of Zungzamia during the year 237 EoD marked the beginning of a “The Resurgence” period for the star system; also known as the “Post-Resistance” period. The system's two major planets, Alexandrus and Zungzamia, would each have their own government for close to two centuries. Also during this time the Alexandrians would build a ship that would exceed the speed of light and encounter beings from other worlds when an alien vessel abruptly arrived in the star system. Eventually Alexandrus and Zungzamia along with the rest of star system formed one system-wide government, unifying the star system, creating a new nation—the “United Republic of ZungAlexia”—and beginning a new age; the “Age of Unity” or “Unity Age”. This and a subsequent page chronicle the events of the “Resurgence” era to the beginning of the United Republic of ZungAlexia.

28 Ianuari – A low level civilian government computer technician discovers and partially decrypts encrypted Imperial computer files that indicate the existence of extraterrestrials. Over the next six months the files are decrypted, read and analyzed. The decision is made to re-encrypt the data with higher level of encryption and security, and classifying them ‘Alpha 1 Top Secret’ by the end of the year. The Alpha 1 Top Secret designation automatically establishes a time lock on the information; electronically sealing it from access for the next century and a half.
The Sacred Order of Zel’Koni commemorates its 2,500 years of existence.

On Alexandrus III, The Union Provisional Authority oversees the selection of delegates by the planet’s population for a constitutional convention in order to form a permanent planetary government.

Following the selection of delegates across Alexandrus III, the Constitutional Convention of 262 occurs in the coastal city of Natochi.
As debates and discussions and various drafts are written for the new constitution in the Constitutional Convention a side debate occurs amongst some of the delegates of the possiblity of restoring the pre-Imperial calendar era of the “Age of Freedom”.

The final, signed draft of the Constitution of Alexandrus III is presented to TUPA and approved. TUPA sets the date for a planet-wide ratification election and instructs local election officials on procedures to insure a free and fair election process.

11 Novib – The First Chancellor of Alexandrus III signs The Defense Creation Act which establishes the Chancellery of Defense led by a civilian Chancellor of Defense, along with the Self-Defense Force of Alexandrus III (aka, A3SDF). Within the provisions of the new law, former Imperial enlisted soldiers and officers up to specific ranks may serve in the new self-defense force under significant restrictions.

The 50th Anniversary of the end of the Alexandrian Resistance is commemorated throughout the star system.
20 Septim – The Dawn successfully exceeds the speed of light, reaching a velocity of Warp 1.0125. On the same day the remaining UFAR forces still on Alexandrus III from the Alexandrian Resistance depart the surface and transfer command of the Orbital Space Stations to the planetary government’s defense force. However, UFAR maintains some civilian government presence and the Zel’Koni Order also maintains a presence on the planet.

Following two successful warp flights into sidespace, USEA begins construction of two more warp-ships.
2 Sena – An alien vessel abruptly appears near the testing area for The Dawn during the ship’s third warp test flight. Once contact is made, the alien vessel identifies itself as the Surya-class starship USS Kanaris (NCC-1854) of the United Federation of Planets. Kanaris is escorted first to the VITEZA outpost then to Alexandrus IV.
14 Sena/June – On board the Kanaris, ship personnel copy and alter the vessel’s stellar navigational charts to reflect the current position of stellar objects due to the time travel experienced by the Federation starship. The original carts are deeply encrypted and access is limited to the current senior officers. The ship's captain, Jamie C. Lovell, records the first of many encrypted ‘Captain's Log’ entries to be viewed by Federation Starfleet officers if and when ‘official’ contact is made between the Federation and the Union.

The senior command staff of USS Kanaris privately meets with the Union President and request permission to conduct a six to 12 month exploratory mission aboard their ship beginning in 313 EoD to mark the 25th Anniversary of First Contact. The President agrees with the request with one condition: the ship’s crew must include USEA personnel. The Kanaris senior staff agrees to the condition and begins to plan for the mission.

2638 AF-R/312 EoD
Several Alexandrus III Defense Force units led by former Imperial military officers, attempt to overthrow the planetary government and take control of the Federation ship Kanaris. Federation and Alexandrus IV security personnel prevent the capture of the Kanaris and loyal units of the A3 Defense Force are able to stop the overthrow and capture most of the traitorous officers. The traitors are tried, convicted, stripped of officer ranks & commissions and sentenced to life in prison.
Following the attempted overthrow by portions of Alexandrus III Defense Forces, the A3 & A4 goverments along wiht the UFAR government creates plans to usurp any future attempts. The Kanaris crew assist in the creation of these plans particularly regarding any actions taken in the future theft/hijacking of the Federation ship.
2639 AF-R/313 EoD
Throughout the Alexandrian star system, the 25th Anniversary of the appearance of the USS Kanaris and First Contact with the United Federation of Planets is commemorated. To mark the event, the Kanaris leaves dock under its own power with a mix of Federation, USEA and Zel’Koni personnel onboard. The vessel conducts a goodwill tour of the star system then a six-month mission of exploration. As the mission begins, Capt. Lovell records an encrypted ‘Captain's Log’. Later in the year, USEA orders the mission extended six more months.

As USS Kanaris returns to Alexandrus IV upon completing its 12 month exploration mission, Capt. Lovell records an encrypted ‘Captain's Log’. Due to the success of the mission, USEA officials request that Kanaris conduct six to 18 month exploration missions every 10 to 15 years until more viable UFAR FTL vessels are put into service.

Assisted by computer scientists from the Kanaris, USEA and Union civilian & military intelligence personnel break Imperial computer security protocols and learn of the Imperium's ‘Operation Light Speed’ and of the alien ship encountered by the Imperials. Upon review by senior UFAR civilian & military leaders, the information is classified as ‘Ultra-1’, the highest classification of national secrecy in the Union.
2649 AF-R/323 EoD (2055 CE)
20 Sena - The first deep space colony ship from Alexandrus arrives at its destination and establishes their colony, calling it Novo Kah'in
Under the authority of USEA with 60 percent of the ship’s crew being Alexandrian,USS Kanaris conducts its second mission of exploration; lasting 15 months. During the mission Kanaris visits the new Novo Kah'in colony. Capt. Lovell records three encrypted log entries throughout the duration of the mission.
2063 CE (2657 AF-R/331 EoD)
5 April – In the Alpha Quadrant, nearly 11,000 light-years from Alexandrus; in a star system known locally as ‘Sol’ in low orbit of the third planet called ‘Earth’, an individual of the dominate, intelligent species known as Human, named Zefram Cochrane conducts Earth’s first Faster-than-light spaceflight aboard his prototype FTL ship, the Phoenix. The flight is detected by the crew of an alien ship which alters course and lands on Earth. The alien vessel’s crew of three Vulcans makes first contact with humanity through Zefram Cochrane, ultimately changing the fate of the human species.

The Union commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the first FTL spaceflight. The occasion is marked by the commissioning of the first space craft capable of Warp 2. The 100th Anniversary of the end of the Alexandrian Resistance is commemorated throughout the star system as well.
2664 AF-R/338 EoD (2070 CE)
The 50th Anniversary of the appearance of the Kanaris in Alexandrian space and First Contact with the United Federation of Planets is celebrated. As part of the celebrations and using the Federation’s Starfleet as a basis; the government charters “The Starfleet of the Union of Federal Alexandrian Republics”, combining most of the UFAR’s scientific, diplomatic and defense organizations, including USEA, into one body. As chartered by the government, the UFAR Starfleet’s mission is; ‘to explore strange, new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations. To boldly go, where no Alexandrian has gone before.’
Also as part of the celebrations, USS Kanaris is launched from its dock for the first time in fifteen years to conduct a mission of exploration. The ship is manned by an all-Alexandrian crew with a small number of Federation officers, including the Captain, serving as advisers. The ship begins its third mission of exploration under the authority of USEA. This mission, lasting 18 months, is the last mission conducted under USEA’s authority. At several stages of the mission, Captain Lovell records five encrypted ‘Captain's Log’ entries.
Later in the year UFAR Starfleet establishes its institution of higher education and officer training known as “The Academy of Starfleet” or “Starfleet Academy”.
