In the annuals of our history the first age of the Ancient Era known as “Before the Age of Freedom” (BAF) was, on the rare occassion, referred to as the “Age of Kindaron” (AK), as it was reflected in accounts of events of the period. The entries below reveal our early history as it unfolded between 285 and 105 BAF.
285 BAF (880 BCE)
Cassius, son of Daro, son of Janus, of clan Kindaron, is born.
275 BAF
Clan Kindaron is attacked by two rival clans. Janus along with nearly all of the other males of the clan are killed. Cassius witnesses the death of his father and older brother. The survivors are split between the two rival clans and enslaved. Cassius is separated from his mother, sister and other relatives.
263 BAF
The clan Kindaron, led by Cassius, begin to rise up and slaughter members of clan Nosic, one of the clans that enslaved the Kindarons.
261 BAF
During a skirmish between clans Kindaron and Nosic, Cassius kills the Nosic clan member who killed his father and brother 14 years earlier.
260 BAF
Clan Nosic invades Clan Axar territory, despite the Kindaron slave revolt occurring within their borders, to rescue the lifemates of their leader and others. The rescue part is killed and the captured Nosic are slaughtered.
Clan Axar invades Nosic, formerly Kindaron, lands to wipe out the Nosic.
257 BAF
The combination of the Axar invasion and the Kindaron revolt leads to the end of Clan Nosic. Clan Kindaron reclaims their own lands and fully controls all Nosic lands. However, Clan Axar claims control of Nosic territory and declares it will enslave Clan Kindaron.
255 BAF
During a battle between the Kndarons and the Axarites near Cassius' ancestral home, Cassius' cousin who is the clan leader, is killed. Cassius leads the clan to victory and is later named clan leader.
254-247 BAF
The Clan Wars: The conflict between Clans Axar and Kindaron sparks conflicts between other various clans. Over time, clans ally themselved with either the Axarites or the Kindarons. Thousands die during the conflict and smaller clans are entirely wiped out.
246 BAF
The Clan Wars come to an end. Clan Axar and many of its' allies are wiped out. The few allied survivors of Clan Axar are enslaved.
245 BAF [1 AK] (840 BCE)
Clans allied to Clan Kindaron during The Clan Wars swear fidelity to Cassius Kindaron and declare him Valdovas. With their support, Cassius Kindaron establishes the Kindaron Supremacy and its’ capital; Citium Daro, in honor of his father who died 30 years earlier in combat. Over the next century, the Supremacy grows dramatically in size.
213 BAF
Cassius Kindaron is nearly killed in battle. Following his recovery, Cassius decrees that his son, Markus, will inherit his lands and titles and that the first-born male heir of Markus shall inherit upon Markus' death.
210 BAF [36 AK] (805 BCE)
Cassius Kindaron, founder of the Kindaron Supremacy dies at the age of 75. Markus Kindaron assumes control of his father’s lands and titles, becoming the second Valdovas of the Kindaron Supremacy.
196 BAF [50 AK]
20 Pentibrium-21 Senabrium – Siege of Genth: The Army of the Kindaron Supremacy lays siege to the city of Genth, the principle city of the city-state of Genth.
22 Senabrium - Battle of Genth: The Genthian Army fights outside and inside their city but is defeated by the Supremacy. The survivors of the battle are enslaved and the Supremacy renames the city Audracal.
195 BAF (790 BCE)
Once part of the city-state of Genth, lands immediately south and east of a river known locally as the River Jant are conquered by the army of the Kindaron Supremacy; which rules large portions of land north of the aforementioned river. The inhabitants of these invaded lands are subjugated and enslaved, as the Kindaron Supremacy establishes the Kelona of Audracal.
194-190 BAF
As Kindaron’s army continues to move through more lands south of the River Jant, slave labor is used to construct a military garrison, to house 5,000 troops, near the banks of the River Jant, under the supervision of the local military-governor. Abusive treatment and torture of slaves occurs; becoming commonplace during the garrison’s construction. As the base is constructed by the slaves they also build their own quarters. The slaves share & trade the meager food and supplies provided by their military overlords.
189 BAF (784 BCE)
Farming is allowed to resume in the Audracal Kelona however, more than 90% of the harvest goes to the Kindaron Supremacy’s local Army garrison. In addition, the abusive treatment and torture endured by slaves during the garrison construction continues unabated.
180 BAF
Markus Kindaron is killed in battle at the age of 60. His son, 35 year old Aretus Kindaron inherits control of his father’s lands and titles, becoming the third Valdovas of the Kindaron Supremacy.
179 BAF [67 AK] (774 BCE)
An armed slave revolt in Audracal occurs but is swiftly ended by the local Kindaron Army garrison. The revolt results in the “retirement” of the military-governor of the Audracal Kelona. The Ruler of the Supremacy, Aretus Kindaron appoints a new military-governor who orders the end of the torture of slaves. He also orders increases in food, clothing and other supplies for the slaves in an attempt to prevent another slave revolt.
155 BAF [91 AK]
The slaves that built the military garrison along the banks of the River Jant are granted Supremacy citizenship and certain “freedoms” within Audracal. The community that was built by the former slaves, now new Supremacy Citizens, is granted a town charter and is allowed to have a town government which overseen by the military-governor. The new citizens name their town Nivo, officially in honor of a local deity but in fact in honor of the slave that led the revolt of 67 AK (179 BAF).
146 BAF [100 AK] (741 BCE)
The Kindaron Supremacy celebrates 100 years of existence.
105 BAF [141 AK] (700 BCE)
The citizens of Nivo celebrate the 50th Anniversary of their town's charter.
Outside the town of Nivo in the Kelona of Audracal, the lifemate of a local farmer known as Cornelius Markus Zungzamius gives birth to their son, naming him Lucius Cornelius Zungzamius.
