Age of Freedom (AF), pt. 3

The Kindaron War continues for an additional 44 years until Zungzamia's military brings the Kindaron Supremacy to a destructive end. Peace and order are gradually restored within the Federal Republic and the occupied lands in the following years. Many important events that occured during the remaining decades of war and the period of peace that followed are chronicled here.

116 AF/EoC 151 [362 AK] (479 BCE)

Cornelius Markus Kindaron begins his compulsory military service to the Kindaron Supremacy under his assumed name.

Numerous skirmishes occur between the armies of Kindaron Supremacy and the Federal Republic of Zungzamia within the boundaries of the former neutral zone.

117 AF

A final peace overture is made by the Republic to the Supremacy and is rejected. The Guardian decides that the front lines of the war will be held at the former neutral zone.

In Citium Daro, Markus Antonius Kindaron dies at the age of 168. His son, Paulus Brutus “officially” becomes the 8th Valdovas of the Kindaron Supremacy at the age of 113, yet is actually the Supremacy’s 2nd illegitimate Valdovas.

14 Trebrium – Nearly four months after the first raid, a second raid by a “rear guard” patrol of the Kindaron Supremacy’s EEF occurs. Some members of the Order defend themselves and the village; carefully using their abilities in attempts to prevent serious injuries to their attackers. Unfortunately, a small number of the patrol is killed but even more villagers and a few Order members are killed. The attackers flee but vow they will return.

After the raiders depart, the dead are mourned and repairs to Bekes begin, a debate occurs on what should be done. The debate leads to an agreement of mutual protection between the Order and the non-Koni villagers. By the end of the year, the Order and village begin building defenses and developing defense techniques for themselves.

Two years into his compulsory Supremacy military service under his assumed name, Cornelius Markus Kindaron chooses to attend the Supremacy's Army Officer Training Center at the fortress city of Yajenawa.

During the siege, Zel'Koni Order members under the instructions of the Grand Assembly, infiltrate the Supremacy forces. The members learn more about the Kindaron Supremacy and of the “Omiris Rebellion” taking place far to the south of the village.

After five weeks Supremacy forces end their siege of Bekes upon receiving new orders. The Order and villagers begin repairs to their village. Even before repairs are completed a debate begins amongst the members of the Order on whether or not the Order should seek out more information regarding the rebellion taking place far to the south. Eventually the debate spreads amongst the villagers as well.

120 AF/EoC 155 (475 BCE)

The Grand Assembly of the Order of Zel’Koni, in concert with the village leaders, decides to send ten warriors out into lands beyond the village. Each warrior would be paired with a volunteer from the village and the ten pairs would serve as emissaries of the village and the Zel’Koni Order. Along with exploring the lands beyond the village the pairs were instructed to learn as much as they could about the “Omiris Rebellion” and seek out individuals or groups associated or involved with the rebellion. The emissaries were instructed to document their journey and the members of the Order amongst the ten pairs were specifically instructed by the Grand Assembly to limit the use of their abilities as much as possible.

Cornelius Markus Kindaron completes his officer training and receives his officer commission with the rank of Lieuan.

122 AF

However, about 850 Greens, led by a Locnelo, continue to fight. Ultimately, these Greens, including their Locnelo, fall in combat. Over the next ten weeks the National Army launches artillery bombardments against the city's walls; lasting two to four days with a one to two-day break between.
