ZungAlexia History | Declassified Imperial History

Operation Imperial Federation

The historical information below is related to the Imperium of Zungzamia has been declassified by order of the President of the United Republic. Years from the Era of Defiance and the Unity Age that correspond to the Imperial years have been added to provide context.

1674 IA [149 EoD] (1881 CE)

Having gained access to the alien ship's computers five years earlier, Imperial Tulemaa scientists use the computers' translation software to translate vessel's general and historical databases into Zungzamian; learning significant information about the ship and its governing authority—The United Federation of Planets.

Having been provided and reading through the information from the alien ship, Imperator Zekhar issues Imperial Secrets and Security Decree of 1674 which transforms ‘Operation Light Speed’ into ‘Operation Imperial Federation’. Furthermore, the decree classifies all material related to the Federation, the USS Buran (the alien ship) and its crew to “Alpha-1 Top Secret”; requiring Level 10-Alpha security clearance and if any information is divulged to others without proper clearance all involved are sentenced to life termination.

1688 IA [163 EoD]

The last remaining alien crew member dies under interrogation.

1715 IA [190 EoD] (1922 CE)

After more than 50 years of studying the alien ship and generally referred to it by its name; the USS Buran, Imperial scientists and engineers are granted permission by the Crown to perform multiple test flights of the vessel, beginning in the middle of the year.

1718 IA [193 EoD]

USS Buran’s warp engine core is activated with minimum power levels during sub-light impulse test flights.

1720 IA [195 EoD]

Ruling the Imperium for 64 years, Imperator Zekhar dies at the age of 202. His son George Alexander Cornelius ascends the throne as Imperator Alexander II, the 23rd Imperator of Zungzamia.

Scientists and engineers conducting test flights aboard the Buran reach full impulse velocity with the vessel’s warp core generating power at 80% output.

1723 IA [198 EoD]

2 Septimbrium – Under escort from the Imperium’s five regular Slide Drive ships, USS Buran enters sidespace at Slide Factor 1 (speed of light) for the first time under Imperial control, beginning the Imperium’s FTL test flight stage of the former Federation ship.

1725 IA [200 EoD]

31 Twalifium – Imperial personnel conducting FTL flight tests aboard the alien ship reach Slide Factor 8.

1730 IA [205 EoD]

By mid-year with all testing completed, a crew of Imperial military personnel, including Imperial Black Guards, is selected to man the alien vessel with training of the crew beginning late in the year.

1733 IA [208 EoD] (1940 CE)

Modifications begin to the interior and exterior of the alien ship to accommodate large amounts of cargo particularly com-bots.

1736 IA [211 EoD]

3 Senabrium – With a fully trained crew standing by to assume their posts, Imperator Alexander II personally commissions the alien vessel as the Imperial Zungzamian Ship (IZS) Imperium with Imperial Registry number IBB-1000 at the secret Imperial Tulemaa outpost orbiting the fourth moon of Zungzamia VII. He gives the ship and crew orders to search for a habitable world rich with natural resources within 100 light years of the father-world.

10 Ocktubrium – IZS Imperium departs the outpost beginning the search for a new world to call home.

1739 IA [214 EoD]

IZS Imperium locates and surveys a planet meeting the Imperator’s requirements in a star system 109 light years from the father-world on the far side a dense nebula. With fuel nearly depleted, the ship returns with news of the discovery to the outpost.

1741 IA [216 EoD]

IZS Imperium begins to transport supplies, material and personnel including Imperial loyalists to the new world at low warp velocities to conserve fuel. Also, the Imperium’s six other slide-ships make their one-way trip filled with cargo for the new world.

1743 IA [218 EoD]

Imperial personnel establish an outpost on the surface of “The New World”.

1753 IA [228 EoD]

After 12 years of transporting supplies and personnel to “The New World” outpost, IZS Imperium returns to the Tulemaa outpost for modifications to the ship’s interior so it can accommodate the Co-Imperators and the entire Imperial family.

1756 IA [231 EoD]

25 Trebrium – The Imperial Family secretly departs Zungzamia Prime and heads to the secret Tulemaa outpost.

12-25 Pentibrium – The Family travels to “The New World” aboard IZS Imperium.

1758 IA [233 EoD]

12 Ainlifium – Once the Imperial Family settled on “The New World”, Imperator Alexander II names it Zungzamia Navaand declares it to be the home of the Imperium of Zungzamia [in exile]. Furthermore he proclaims the first Imperial settlement on Zungzamia Nava as Urbos Cornelius in honor of the Imperial Family. He announces that he alone will return to Zungzamia to defend the fatherworld from the rebellion and places his son, Co-Imperator Zekhar II in command until his return. Imperator Alexander II departs for Zungzamia the next day aboard IZS Imperium.

1759 IA [234 EoD]

22 Febrium - The lifemate of a prominent Imperial scientist gives birth to a female child, the first born on Zungzamia Nava. This newborn will eventually become the Impress of Zungzamia, lifemate to Zekhar II.

After returning to Tulemaa and the Imperator safely returns to Zungzamia, all data and remaining personnel from the outpost are transferred to IZS Imperium. The ground facilities and the orbiting space station of the outpost are destroyed with an overload of its’ fusion reactors as the Imperium travels back to Zungzamia Nava.

1761 IA [236 EoD] (1968 CE)

23 Ianuarum – As part of Operation “Re-forged Sabre”, Imperator Alexander II orders the Imperial Black Guard contingent in the Imperial Capital to withdraw from the city, live their lives as civilians, pass on their knowledge and wait for communication from him or his descendent.

4 Tetribrium – Battle of Omirilaco: As the aerial and artillery bombardment ends, UFAR ground forces composed of regular and com-bot troops and Zel’Koni Sentinels enter the outskirts of the Imperial Capital beginning the Battle of Omirilaco.

14 Pentibrium – Battle of Omirilaco: In a damaged section of the ancient Laco district of the Imperial Capital, Co-Imperator Alexander II is hit by debris from an exploding artillery shell and gravely injured while leading a charge of regular ground troops. He is taken to a makeshift medical facility but the personnel are unable to fully treat his injuries. As the sun falls below the horizon the Co-Imperator succumbs to his injuries, dying at the age of 153.

17 Pentibrium – Battle of Omirilaco: The Imperial Army lay to rest Co-Imperator Alexander II in the family crypt at the Imperial Omirilaco Cemetery. Alexander II is the last Imperator of Zungzamia to be entombed.

4 Septimbrium – On board the Imperium, outside of the range of the rebellion’s detection, Co-Imperator Zekhar II communicates with the remaining Imperial military forces on Zungzamia Prime. He learns that his father is dead and of the unofficial ceasefire in place since his father’s death. As sole Imperator of Zungzamia, Zekhar II orders his commanders to attack and fight to the last man.

5 Septimbrium – Battle of Omirilaco: Following seven weeks of relative peace in the Imperial Capital, fighting resumes between the military forces of the Imperium of Zungzamia and the Union of Federal Alexandrian Republics.

1762 IA [237 EoD] (1969 CE)

14 Ianuarum – Battle of Omirilaco: As more of the Imperial Capital falls into the hands of the Union, the last of the Imperial com-bot troops are deactivated by the weapons of Union Army, forcing the remaining regular Imperial Army troops to “shoulder the burden” of defending the ruined city.

3 Trebrium-26 Pentibrium – Battle of Omirilaco—Assault on the Ministry of War: Union regular troops attack the Ministry of War building. Imperial troops are able to defend it for seven weeks, however the defenses are breached and Union troops enter the building and spread throughout it. With more than three-quarters of the building in rebel hands, the last surviving Imperial Army Gelera activates the building’s self-destruct. The building explodes, killing everyone inside and creates a crater 81 mytors deep and one-half square kalimytor.

3 Senabrium – Battle of Omirilaco: Devastated by street-to-street and building-to-building fighting, regular Imperial Army troops, individually or in groups, begin to surrender to Union forces or simply abandon their posts.

6 Septimbrium – Battle of Omirilaco: As rebel troops close in and encircle the Imperial Palace, the city’s few remaining defenders surrender due to the lack of available troops and supplies to defend the Palace.

8 Septimbrium – An Instrument of Surrender is signed by an Imperial Army Pa’Taci—the highest ranking officer alive—for the Imperium, the UFAR commanding Gelera and a Sentinel-Maven of the Zel’Koni Order in Omirilaco.

20 Septimbrium – The Peace Treaty of Omirilaco is finalized and signed. Without a single member of the Imperial civilian government available to sign the document the Citizen-Leaders of the former Imperial cities of Cavlun, Genth, Kanderia, Kuvot, Panavisio, Urbos Liberti, Vircaro, Yerem, and Yerkut sign the treaty as representatives of the Imperium of Zungzamia and the UFAR Foreign Affairs Minister signs as the representative of the Union of Federal Alexandrian Republics.

2 Twalifium – Following the ratifications of the treaty by the legislative authorities in nine major, formerly Imperial cities, the Peace Treaty of Omirilaco is ratified by the Union's legislature and the ratification legislation is signed by the Union President. With the treaty’s ratification, the Alexandrian Resistance and Com-Bot War ends and the Imperium of Zungzamia ceases to exist on Zungzamia.
