Celebrating 10 years
2016-2026

The thirteenth and latest film in the franchise, Star Trek Beyond was released in theaters on 22 July 2016. Its musical score is composed and conducted by returning composer Michael Giacchino and released commercially on 29 July 2016. In the three years intervening between Into Darkness and Beyond, Mr. Giacchino composed the musical scores of several films including: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014); Tomorrowland (2015); Jurassic World (2015) and Zootopia (2016). Like the previous film, Star Trek Into Darkness, the 'Main Theme' of Star Trek Beyond comes at the end of the film and can be heard by clicking the album cover below.

Separate from the musical score, a song for the film entitled “Sledgehammer” was recorded by the artist Rihanna and released as a single on 27 June 2016. According to the Wikipedia article about the song, the music video for the single was filmed entirely on IMAX cameras, becoming the first music video to do so. The video was released on 30 June 2016 and is currently available on youtube.

Since the release of Star Trek Beyond, Mr. Giacchino has worked on the film scores of nearly 15 films including; Doctor Strange (2016), Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Coco (2017), Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), Incredibles 2 (2018), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), The Batman (2022), Jurassic World: Dominion (2022), and Thor: Love and Thunder (2022). Please enjoy the 'Main Theme', the music video and, of course, “Live Long and Prosper”.
