The opening themes of each of the eight live action series of the Star Trek franchise adds character to their respective series and the franchise as a whole. Of the eight main themes, only the theme for Star Trek: Voyager would not be re-arranged in some manner during the production of the series it was composed for. As a matter of fact, the theme for Star Trek: The Next Generation was a re-arrangement of the “Main Title Theme” of Star Trek: The Motion Picture; first composed in 1979. The opening theme for Star Trek: Enterprise is the first to be a song with lyrics in the franchise. To listen to these themes (and possibly other music tracks from the various series), click on the link for each series in the dropdown above, enjoy the music of the Star Trek franchise and of course, “Live Long and Prosper”.
