James Horner returned in 1984 as composer and conductor of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, which was released in theaters on 1 June 1984. Between the two Star Trek films, Mr. Horner composed the scores for the films 48 Hrs. (1982), Something Wicked This Way Comes (1983), Gorky Park (1983), and a few others. Following the release of The Search for Spock, Mr. Horner composed music for more than 90 films including An American Tail (1986), Field of Dreams (1989), Glory (1989), Patriot Games (1992), Clear and Present Danger (1994), Apollo 13 (1995), Titanic (1997), and Avatar (2009); just to name a few. With over 100 film scores to his name, the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award winning composer died suddenly at the age of 61 on 22 June 2015.
