Starships of the new Republic-class are the culmination of more than three and a half centuries of designing, building, launching and operating ships capable of exceeding the speed of light. Republic-class ships are designed with the latest technology including a Warp drive engine capable of reaching Warp Factor 8, duotronic computers, and the new “photon torpedo” projectile weapons system.
