   Designated as a Cruiser, the Protector and its future "sister" ships have a standard armament of three pairs of Type 4 Phasers and a pair of spatial torpedo launchers. However, a separate weapons package can be attached at hardpoints on the dorsal hull above the warp nacelle pylons adding two pairs of Type 8 Phase cannons and eight spatial torpedo launchers. Capable of reaching 0.75c at Impulse and Warp Factor 7, this cruiser is based upon the URZA Starfleet's Kanaris-class.
