The exploration of space is a new enterprise for the human species. In that exploration we have made great strides in just five and a half decades yet, have so far to go. In fiction, there have been at least eight vessels that have travelled amongst the stars bearing the name Enterprise. In reality, only one vessel beared the illustrious name; serving as a test-bed - a precursor, to a group of spacecraft that would perform great historic feats in a mear thirty years.
