   Jerry Goldsmith would again return to the Star Trek franchise to compose the nineth Star Trek film, Star Trek: Insurrection, released in theaters on December 11, 1998. During the intervening two years since the release of First Contact, Mr. Goldsmith composed the scores of eight films including: L. A. Confidential (1997), Air Force One (1997), U. S. Marshals (1998), and Mulan (1998), just to name a few.
